Orthodontic Treatment for Teens & Adults
Orthodontic treatment is now less time consuming and more comfortable than ever before. Damon System braces have changed the way we can treat orthodontic patients today. This revolutionary system of braces utilizes a unique passive self-ligating bracket, or brace, and very light forces to achieve results beyond previously conceived expectations. Damon braces can be metal or virtually invisible "clear braces." Read more about Damon Braces.
Invisalign, or clear aligner therapy, is an alternitive method to straighten teeth and obtain the smile that you have always wanted. Invisalign aligners are clear and inconspicuous. Invisalign aligners are removable. This makes eating and brushing a breeze. Invisalign is a great option for mild to moderate orthodontic problems. Read more about Invisalign.
Teenagers and Adults can take advantage of these advances and achieve amazing results in less time and more comfort than traditional braces.
How long is orthodontic treatment?
The amount of time it takes to create your beautiful smile depends on 3 Key Factors:
Early diagnosis and treatment as needed for growing patients. This allows Dr. Christensen to monitor the growth of the jaw and recommend further orthodontic treatment if and when it becomes
necessary. Not everybody receives orthodontic treatment at a young age, and in some cases, it may be recommended that a patient wait until they are older to receive treatment.
The amount and type of treatment needed in order to correct the orthodontic problem(s) will determine how long the process takes. Different patients react to treatments differently; so, while it may take one patient only 6 months to complete their treatment, it may take another patient 24 months. Treatment times can vary depending on how quickly your body responds and how much work is needed to give you the show-stopping smile you expect.
Your willingness to follow the instuctions that Dr. Christensen and his team give you plays a major role in the length of time it takes to complete your treatment. Always
remember to take care of your braces and appliances, keep your teeth clean, wear your rubberbands, and make your appointments; this truly will help make your treatment
Big. Beautiful Smiles.
